PIECES

Hey, there!  :-)

I just wanted to thank you all so much for the encouraging Tweets and comments I received yesterday on my first day back to school.  It was such an amazing experience for me, going back to finish up my education; and I am so happy to say that it was a wonderful day.  I have two different classes today, which I am a little bit nervous about -- but I'm feeling a lot better than I was yesterday before I left my home to drive to the school for the first time in so many years.  I loved reading your messages and each one made me smile and feel so cared for.  You guys are the best!

I was contacted last week by a really nice woman named Allie who works for a store called Pieces in Atlanta, Georgia.  Pieces is a high-end boutique that carries both vintage and new furniture and was started by owner and designer Lee Kleinhelter in 2004.  I asked Allie if I could showcase some of my favorite pieces on the blog today, and she said I could.  :-)  This is not a sponsored post.  I just really think these items are beautiful and am happy to share them with you!

Seriously...how gorgeous are these items?  I encourage you to head on over to the boutique's website and take a mini-break reveling in the amazing finds in this shop!

What's your favorite piece from this post?

Chesterfield Sofa Round-Up

Hi there!  :-)

Well, it is almost Friday, and I am so excited.  Tonight I have a dinner date with my dear husband, and I'm so looking forward to us having a night out together -- this week has been incredibly busy and we haven't seen very much of each other!  It has been a glorious rainy and cloudy day here in Arizona, and there was a point this morning when the rain was coming down very hard.  I sat on a bench (indoors!) with my coffee in hand, and I watched it for a little while.  So.Nice!  Do any of you enjoy watching rainstorms?  I think that has to be one of my (and my hubby's!) favorite things to do.  :-)

Today I'm going to do a little round-up of my favorite Chesterfield sofas!  Chesterfields are luxurious, tufted English sofas that are a little bit on the masculine side but still incredibly cozy.  They work well in many different types of decor, but my favorite rooms with Chesterfields are usually eclectic or modern in nature!

Are you a fan of the Chesterfield sofa?

Tolix Chair Round-Up

Hi, friends!  :-)

I hope you all are having a Happy Wednesday so far today.  I am waiting for my husband to wake up, and then it'll be time for me to start in with our bathroom makeover!  Very excited.  I thought that I'd do a quick round-up, though, of one of my favorite types of chair -- the Tolix chair!  :-)  Raise your hand if you love 'em, too!

What do you think of these chairs?  Like?  Not so much?

What's your favorite color/finish for these lovelies?

Acrylic Furniture

I have loved acrylic furniture ever since I saw a beautiful acrylic chair in my sister-in-law's apartment about three years ago.  Eventually, I would love to have four acrylic chairs around my dining table -- I've just got to convince my hubby first!  ;-)

I love how virtually every piece of furniture in this vignette is clear in nature.  It really gives this space a glamorous, almost futuristic look!

An acrylic dining table is paired with dark dining chairs -- and the look is contrasted and balanced!

A beautiful little acrylic corner.

I love the look of these barstools!  Very chic.

This chair is a lot like the one that my sister-in-law has.  I love how this looks in an office!

An acrylic console table creates the perfect place to write a little note, or drop your keys off when you walk through the door!

An adorable stool -- perfect for a dressing room or even used as a side table!

This acrylic coffee table really softens up the boldness of this space.  I love the zebra-print rug underneath!

What do you think about acrylic furniture?  Love it?  Hate it?
