Chocolate Chip Muffins

Good morning!  :-)  Lately I haven't been posting on Sundays, but I wanted to share a recipe with you that I made for my hubby and I this AM!

These chocolate chip muffins are super rich and delicious -- I could barely finish one!  They are moist with the perfect amount of chocolate chips in every bite.  I hope you enjoy them!

Chocolate Chip Muffins
Recipe slightly adapted from Bakerella
Yields 12 regular, 9 large muffins

Ingredients
11/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup 2% milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup melted butter, cooled slightly
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Line a muffin tin with 12 baking cups -- the prettier, the better.  ;-)

In a medium bowl, stir the flour, sugar, baking powder, and sea salt together with a whisk until combined.

In another bowl, stir together the sour cream, milk, eggs, vanilla and almond extracts, and melted butter.  Stir until combined.

Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips, then divide amongst baking cups with an ice cream scoop.

Bake 20 minutes or until done.

Enjoy the chocolatey goodness!  :-)

love,
maria
